I changed my avatar 5 times (all decent ones though!) :bah: these past few days and it got saved and showing for a while :D then it goes back again to this old avatar afterward! :D

Is it a moderator's choice to get me stuck to my old avatar?? :o

Does that mean I even can't get rid of(dump) an old avatar?????????? :D

Why does Legleg have a new avatar everyday? :D why? why? huh? why? :o

Don't worry zaza, when you make the change we all see it. It's only on your system that you can see the old avatar. You have to clear something on your pc - I'll let someone techy enlighten you.

I'll change mie know and I can guarantee I'll still seee my old one for a while.

It's ok all. The Techy has arrived. :bah:

You have to refresh your thingy and then the thingy-me-bob resets to the new thingy and everything is hunky dory again. Well until you change it again and then carry out the same thingy again. All clear now? Good ;)

Rain in Chiang Mai has prompted the start of the inevitable "Yes, It's Raining" thread.

That thread may have potential to become entertaining (if people stop measuring and reporting each millimetre that falls in their back garden) and reminded me of an ancient and very long running rain thread that my memory has flagged as amusing - does anyone else remember it? Is it still running? I haven't searched on the basis that I am sure a search for "rain" would produce an unmanageable quantity of results!

JxP

Doh !! was beaten to the "Yes it's raining thread"

But it did rain sooo hard last night :o

My heart is pumping purple p1ss, for you poor souls out there. We are having quite calm weather in the uk at the moment, just a breezy 800,000 miles per hour winds :D

The sound test tent we spoke about should take top priority !!

Sad Tale:

As a kid I went to a private prep-school and spoke proper. Off to Public School for more proper. However here's the sad bit. These schools taught the new stupid phonetic way to spell in the early years (system debunked early sixties ) gradually bringing you on as you progressed through the system.

Whammo......Father went bankrupt, packed son off to a Wolverhampton secondary modern school, where they had never heard of spelling never mind a system to teach it, so I learned to stand up for myself ( trust me, posh accent in Wolvo recipe for fffin disaster) but sadly never learned to spell another word ( other than this one )

Moral of the story ? Run away early if your Dad looks skint,

Thanks for that, Chili - yet another Marvin attack coming on...

:o Wrong Marvin! But I don't know how you managed to slip him in above my post and purportedly nearly two minutes prior to my post. He must be a Magic Martian Marvin!

If only I had the man's talent. You must be getting to the bottom of the bucket, Chili - can't be too many more Marvins left?

Run out of Marvins you say Ping? Please welcome my esteemed friend...

*** tunes up the vocal chords *** 'I was born under a wandering star'. Nope. Doesn't cut it. Let's stick with Marvin Gaye.

Pity he can't hold a sandwich...

:o Starvin' Marvin, I love it! :D

What's that he's doing with his left hand? Is he giving us 'the bird'? Hmmph. Won't be getting a sandwich from me!

Probably couldn't keep one down!

Back on topic.

MDF, although a pain when sanding, because of being too dusty, is far better than chip board and is extremely versatile.

I resemble that remark! I think we could not have been more random if you paid us! Oh, and particle board is far cheaper :o

How long ago was the topic, MDF or woteva.?

Wot ya trying to do/make?

MDF is crap stuff for REAL amateurs and cheapie workers.

True but it is still better than chipboard. That's all i was saying. :D

Depends what you are using it for.

Now, can we please stay ON TOPIC :D

I think the postage stamps in the UK taste much better than the Thai ones.

OMG, ya mean summun still uses stamps and snail mail.

Our stamps, if eva needed, are self sticking.
