If I import a vehicle that is dissasembled as parts and pay the duty on all parts that are imported then assemble it in country what do I have to rego it? Do you have to pay duty again once assembled? Does the car have to go to emissions? What determines the emission standards used? Also with a kit car, what determines the emissions standards to be used? Is it the engine block year? The year of the car replicated?

For kit cars it needed to be certified by some Thai society of engineers.. They never responded to any phone faxes or emails I tried to send..

Unless your a Thai of influence its not going to be easy.
