Non Imm O

Featured Replies

Hi there

I just been to Singapore to get a non-immigrant-visa O.

1)

From all discussions here I thought is was only valid for one year.

But I do not see a expiry date only a issue date.

2)

I receievd a multiple entry but only 8 times.

Is this normal?

3) How do I extent this visa? (if at all necassery)

Singapore was easy. Just follow the rules.

Not so many people. Maybe 20 or so at 9 in the morning. In and out in 10 minutes.

Pick up next day at 2 afternoon

Congratulation on your visa and thanks for the report.

1) Check the part of your visa, where it says "visa must be utilised before date..........."

If it is October 2008 (whatever date) it is definitely a Multiple Non-O-Visa

2) I have never heard of 8 entries with a multiple. You can enter the country as many times as you want, but keep in

mind that you have to do border runs after each 90 days period.

3) You extend your visa 3-4 weeks prior the date "to be utilized", but just one day before that date you may do another border run and you will get

additional 90 days. And then within those 90 days you do your extension.

Looks to me as if you have a single entry giving you 90 days entry.

The enter before date is 3 months.

Where it says No. of entry it probably says S meaning single and you are mistaking the S for an 8.

You can extend it for one year at immigration office.

You will need proof from your embassy of 40,000 Baht a month income. Unless you wife has this income in which case she will need tax payment records as proof.
