Good Laundry Service?

Does anyone know of a good laundry service near the Soi Sukhumvit 39 area?

The washer in our apt is broke, so until it is fixed, we need an external service.

There are several dry cleaners/landry services that I have found within walking distance of our apt, but they are all unsatisfactory:

--they all charge per item

--item costs are THB 20-80 each

--so a typical load of say 20 items could easily hit 500-1000 which I consider insane to pay while in a devloping country like Thailand. (THB 1,000 ~= $US30 which is way more than I would pay to do laundry myself at a landromat even in New York City.)

I have noticed that most of the stores in my area cater to Japanese, which evidently must be the predominant expat nationality here. Clearly, they have not only brought Tokyo stores, but also Tokyo prices with them!

What I want is a laundry service that will charge per kg of clothes, do a decent job, and pick up and delivery woul also be nice.

Anyone know of anything like this in my area?

When we were in Chiang Mai last summer, we found readily found many such services, so I am surprised at the difficulty that I have had so far finding anything in my neighborhood.
