Mercedes A 180 Cdi, Does Anyone Know That Car ?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just visited the Mercedes dealer today and had a look of the A-class cars.

They did not have the 180 CDI with a diesel engine on stock, does anyone here have experience with this model ? (I have read somewhere, that the engine is a bit noisy)

How much are they asking for the Mercedes A?

I had a look at the pricelist around 6-8 months ago, and the price was around 2,100,000 baht for the A 180 CDI . (as far as I remember)

Now they have calculated a lower price: 1,690,000 baht.

I have not asked for a discount, since I did not yet decide to buy it, but I am interested. I don´t even know, if Mercedes will discount the price on their cars.

This particular version they don´t have here in Khon Kaen, so I guess, I will have to go to Bangkok to have a testdrive.

Thank you for the link, the have the same opinion about the diesel noise as in an article, I read somewhere on Internet:

"The petrol engines we’ve tried are smooth and quiet unless being revved hard. It’s a different story in the 140bhp diesel, which subjects those in the cabin to a rowdy diesel clatter at all times. Wind noise is well subdued, but road noise intrudes over coarse surfaces and as speeds rise."

Obviously it's a Mercedes, but after reading the review and considering a top line Jazz costs 700 something, it's over twice as expensive. Wonder if it's twice the car? At that price range, a number of nice cars are available.
