Please if anyone can help and not give old links as hotels might not be there anymore, prices gone up etc

Got to know by tomorrow afternoon

My moneys running out can only have 500 baht max per day/night

Stay on Khao San for 200 Baht. A taxi to the airport will be under 300 Baht including expressway tolls providing the driver turns on the meter. Thus you have a place to stay and your travel to the airport for your hotel budget.

Khao San Road has over 100 guesthouses and everything else the tourist could need including good coffee shops.

White Thai Khao San is the cheapest and very cheap if you look around as Briggsy says - it's got everything. Try the Gecko Guest House in the small soi off Phra Atit Road (so down by the river and not actually on Khao San. It's 150 - 200 a night and is fine. Ask other tourists for the Israeli places as they are cheap and delicious
