:) Where To Find Spices In Thailand

Featured Replies

Sounds like an easy question, huh, given the Thai people's love of spiciness, except I am looking for those bottled spices like you find back home: cumin, cinamon, ginger, etc.

Any help appreciated.

a supermaket in a deparmentstore?

(villa ,foodland ,Central Dep. ,The emporium, Siam paragon ,Tesco ,Carrefours ..etc)

try pahurat - indian quaters. Might try as well china town for the rest

There's an excellent spices shop at the ground floor of Paragon - right beside the gourmet market. They got everything.

Beat me to it! Spice Story it's called. Great and not too expensive considering it is the Paragon.

Well, be very careful while buying spices, as some places have rotten spices, YES ROTTEN. I buy different spices from different places. Some of them are:

1. Makro

2. Villa

3. Foodland

4. Tesco Lotus

5. Fresh Market

6. Home Fresh Mart in The Mall

7. Tops Super Market

Big C and Carrefour does not have anything more than the above places.

As I am a very good cooker :D therefore I have to buy a lot of spices. :o
