Quiz Nights

When I arrived in Bangkok it was quite difficult meeting people, last night after a great nite out, I realized that 90% of my friends that I met over here, are people I met at Pub Quizzes, so thought it would be useful to mention the quizzes that are a great laugh, and usually have some promotion for cheap Beer. All pubs in the Nana / Asoke / Phrom Pong area, Don’t know the Silom Sathorn Quizzes but there must be some there, anybody ????

Every Tuesday - The Dubliner (Near Emporium) 7.30 start, no entry fee, prize is Beer, quite easy quiz

Alternative Tuesday - The Londoner (Soi 33) 8pm start, 100 baht entry fee, don’t know the prize as this is a tough quiz:

Every Thursday - Pickled Liver (Soi 11 Turn left after Cheap Charlie’s) – 8.30pm start, no entry fee, Prize 1000 baht voucher = best sausages,beans,eggs and chips in Bangkok IMHO

Bulls Head (Soi 31?)– Once a month on a Wednesday, great Laugh, everybody gets a prize, no entrance fee and Billy’s Music round has to be heard to be believed

Wednesday at the Finnegan's, Sukhumvit soi 4. 8:30pm start (I think). 100 THB entry fee. Don't remember the prize.

Thanks this is just what I have been searching for. I did post a question about quizzes but got very little response and then..hey presto all the answers in one thread. ThaiVisa usually comes up trumps!

Hey, can someone explain how these pub quizzes work? I've only read about them on the internet and am curious. Are you on your own or a team or what? What kind of questions are asked? It sounds like fun, but I'd like to know more.
