Post Natal Care

Featured Replies

Any long-term residents of Udon have any input and recommendations for birthing and post-natal care in town? I have heard mentioned that Khon Kaen would be a better alternative to Udon but I am sure there's a fair few healthy babies born every day in Udon Thani.

Many thanks,

NL

I can not answer your question but I feel this may be a good place to get on my soap box.

In the states I worked over 40 years in Anesthesia the last 6 years in OB Anesthesia and I really believe too many Frang fathers are NOT concerned enough about Car seats for infants and children. In American way too many children were hurt and killed before the child and infant safety standards became law. They will be able to sit and ride in the proper safety equipment and while u may be a good driver I bet u have a seat belt on.

Forgive me for jumping in on your topic. I wish u all the best on the birth of your child, I have been very impressed with the health care provided in Thailand.

If you search, you will find that we had a thread on a similar topic not long ago. This discussed the relative merits of the Udon military hospital and hospitals in KK. I think for a straightforward birth either city would be fine. However, KK has a specialist paediatrics training centre.

Tried 'paediatrics'... came up with your post.

Tried 'post natal'... came up with my post.

Tried 'baby in udon'... and the TV wank search engine rejected it because of the 'in' word.

Tried 'baby udon'... and got buggerall.

Oh well, it's not due till April so time enough.
