I saw a Nissan mini-bus yesterday. A bit too old now for the company to use it as the customers prefer newer buses.

Running on NGV and in good order engine wise it occurred to me that taking some of the seats out would turn it into a van. H_ll, could be 'White Van Man' in Thailand - then I'd be able to drive the same as Thais LOL.

At 150k Baht and in need of some attention to trim, bumper and door handles that wouldn't cost a lot, it could be a very economical vehicle.

Maybe even get a bed in the back :o

Could be a great passion wagon :D

What would you guys do with something similar or wouldn't you be tempted?

we bought a '95 - '96 Nissan Urvan from the BMTA for 175K baht...super delux inside with reclining seats and individual A/C vents and reading lights. The BiL and his mate re-built the engine and dropped in a 2nd hand tranny for cheap and now we gots the tutsimobile supreme...

took out the first row of seats (3 rows remaining) with plenty of room for a cold box/bar area...tutsi semi - reclines with a drink and a van load of kids and adults (one of the BiLs at the wheel)...' an' we's gonna mooove awwwn down de road (Allman Bros riff in the background)...'

can't be beat :o
