Laptop Questions

Featured Replies

I've got a Dell Latitude D620 Laptop, which is used for work. I want to disable the stupid blue 'nipple' mouse thats stuck in the middle of the keyboard as im always catching it with my finger whilst typing and its hyper sensitive. I always use a USB mouse with the laptop and ive got the touch sensative mouse pad at the bottom of the keyboard for those unusual times when i dont have the mouse connected.

Its just that damned blue 'nipple' mouse. its annoying, badly placed and i never ever use the bl*ody thing!!!

How do i disable it?

I don't have exactly your model, but my Dell Inspiron allows me to disable the touch pad and 'blue nipple' in the BIOS settings.

To enter the BIOS you have to press F1 or F2 (it usually says on the screen 'press F1 to enter setup' or a similar message) during the power on checks (before Windows starts).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

If all else fails, can you not pull off the nipple as mine is merely a rubberized top for the post below that can be pulled off.

Its ok, i sorted it... If you install the mouse driver from dells website you get the options to enable/disable stuff! Simple really :s

Normally the touchpad/nipple have the option to be disabled through the bios settings.

I checked the bios, i was able to disable the touchpad but not the nipple. i wanted to keep the touch pad active and just disable the nipple... which i have now done through the Dell drivers
