Can anyone describe Kam Taka's location in relation to other towns and how far it would be from Sakhon Nakhon.

Interestly I've found a number of different ways of spelling this town.

Sakhon Nakhon

Sakhon Nakhorn

Sakhorn Nakhorn

I wonder which one is correct.

cheers

Have you spelt it right?

There is a KHAM TA KLA close to Sakhon Nakhon follow the road marked 222 north.

Go west from Sakonakorn about 30-40 km, then North on 222 about 60 km. You will go through many small vilalges on the way and one failry large village called Wanon Niwat.

You can find it on Google earth but the spelling is crazy as you suggest for Sakonakorn. I think they use Khamta Kra or something like that.

Enjoy the country when you do get here.

Thanks Wash.

Really appreciate your information.

What are the roads like?

Are their hotels or motels in this area?

I understand it can be a two hour drive?

According to my GPS, it's 103 kilometers north, north west and if that is the right place it's spelled Kham Tak La on the map.

ADDED - The GPS says there no hotels within a 19 kilometer radius.
