ok all - have my trip all planned out now, just searching for a BKK hotel for when we arrive in LOS. Nana (our usual) is booked up. Will have to look elsewhere...

Was thinking for those who are based in Korat / Surin - if you need anything transporting over which is relativly small and light I'm prepared to help out where possible. eg. Stuff you miss from the UK thats hard to come by where you are.

Im entitled to 30kg - which wont be taken up with a few gym vests, sandals underear and shorts! so have plenty of room / weight availble.

I'll be happy to drop them off at the Farang connection, or at somewhere accessible in Korat.

I recommend Dynasty Inn, right across the road from Nana hotel. I can give you the details if you like, it's where I stay all the time now.

I have got most of the people in Surin sorted for anything they want taken over, although there might be a few I don't know who might want something. Very generous of you all the same Lee.

Hey thanks Lourens, ive sent an email across to [email protected] to check out their booking process.

Tried to see if they were listed on Asia rooms hotel booking site - they arent, so only concern is that they will want my card details over email - which ofcourse In the intrests of fraud I cant supply (thinking back to a situation we had last year where a hotel wanted me to do that)

John, fair enough mate - whatever I can do to help! The dynasty is out of Mike's price range (and to be fair, i can hack living in low-end accomodation to save some ££)

Just realised I had applied for the NANA for the 17th and 18th, infact I only needed it for the 18th (Sun) so have retried applying as I suspect many visitors will check out then and rooms will be available..

Hi Ayjaydee, yeah true I have given off mixed messages, to be clear -

Im 26 (actually 27 this Wednesday) so do enjoy a dance and a bit of fun also, If you could advise me on what the thai youths do on a night out that doesnt involve 'western' music by all means I am up for it.

From my observations however I noticed that Thai youths enjoyed mainly rock/punk/metal music at Bar-nana or Update which really isnt my scene wether it be the east, west north or south!

This 'secret location disco' was a breath of fresh air - as it was the kind of music which I most enjoy - eg something with a 4 by 4 energetic dance beat.

It reminded me of the images I have of the UK illegal acid house scene, - warehouse, free party atmosphere, tunes I had not heard before (in the west) (im a hobby DJ by the way!)

Thanks Bergen- had done that already, no problem - think ill pop over to the bus station today find out the details on Pattaya to Surin via coach!
