If he followed the law, then he wouldn't have a problem. I get wanting asylum and leaving El Salvador. He escaped El Salvador, when (assuming) he entered Guatemala. Or he could have went to Honduras, or Belize, or Nicaragua. NO, instead, after escaping El Salvador, into Guatemala, he traveled about 2500 kms to the USA border, and illegally entered the USA. Could have legally asked for asylum in 2 countries along the way, and or, at the border of the USA, like all the other legally entering asylum seekers. But he chose to be a criminal ... ... oh well, live with our choices. I didn't illegally enter TH, and if I did, I would expect to be deported -
