Rubbish! Throw your camera away, are words I can't use.

It is a really nice photo. If i had to nit-pick I would say, remove the car in the background to give it a 'timeless' feel and deal with the shadow on his right foot (or left as you look at it) as it seems to be invisible.

What camera did you use?

mr.gently i blew up the pic and cant see anything wrong with shadow on any of his feet........it seems to be in order with how it should be considering foot position to the sun........nit picker :o

It wasn't an expensive camera, just a Fujifilm fujipix s5600 in 'point and shoot' mode. I then photoshopped it - selected the monk, reversed the selection and changed the colour levels to make it black and white. I think the shadow on his hand is due to me being cr#p at selecting (I'm just learning to use photoshop at the moment and I dont have a proper manual as my copy of photoshop came from 'unofficial' sources and cost 200bt).

I've seen similar shots to this on sale in MBK, blown up to a big size and printed professionally.

To me it seems a shame the monk is walking away....

only a rear view. Never the most flattering.

A tiny shift of angle, or waiting a few second would avoid the tree growing out of his head.

I too like the contrast.

I do like the shot, and as mentioned above some problems with the right hand and the tree sprouting out of his head.

What puzzels me is that the Monk does not have his shadow to the right of the photo? only the tree shadow is shown. :o

Could be my eyes though?

Kan Win :D

Your eyes I think. :o

It looks to me as though his shadow merges with the one for the tree he is passing.
