The carwash behind the petrol station in Chaweng (across from Mind Your Language Thai language school) is worth the drive. They do an excellent job. The two times I tried the one on the ring road in Lamai, they were careless and did a shitehouse job.

There is one on the ring road right in Lamai but it's set back from the road a bit. If driving through Lamai, coming from Nathon, pass the temple (on your left). About 2/300 meters after that there's a car was place on your left. But, as mentioned, you need to keep your eyes peeled as its back from the road a bit. Did a good job for me.
