According to http://www.toyota.co.th/red/th/model/vios/vios_feat.asp , all models are equipped with ABS. The only difference in safety features is the airbag. Only the G model has an airbag as standard.

We just bought the ES model, which is an E with dual front airbags.

J is the basic model so its impossible have ABS.

Why is it impossible? You'll need to be able to read a little Thai or have someone with you who can read Thai. Go to the link i provided.

Above the table there are 7 links in Thai. The 2nd to last link is for safety options. You will see that all models from the J M/T to G A/T have ABS.

Go to the last page (page 12). On the right hand side about half way down, you will see a row that has ABS, EBD and BA (anti-lock brakes, electronic brake distribution and brake assist). You will see that ALL models have this as standard.

Of course Toyota could be lying on their website and in their brochure.
