Do you remember Justin Fashanu, he defined football in 2 ways. He was the first famous player to come out publicly as gay (in 1990) and he was the first black footballer in Britain to cost £1 million when he signed for Nottingham Forest from Norwich in 1981.

Quite a big defining moment for me personally was in 2003. Man City played their last ever match at Maine Road against Southampton. We then moved to the City of Manchester Stadium and the first competitive match was against Welsh side TNS in the UEFA Cup.

Got loads of pictures of the day at home but none with me. A sad day that was. :o

He also played for Torquay United, in fact I think he "came out" in Torquay. :o
