Report British Expat’s Roast Hunt in Thailand Goes Viral
And let's not forget Louisiana which I consider to be the single darkest state in America on so many levels, and it has nothing to do with skin color. -

Over 64,000 pounds of butter recalled over undeclared milk
Used it on toast when I was younger, and see may using it the same way in restaurants when I lived in Texas. I've used spray butter, I can't believe it's not butter, ever since it came out to save calories, and now use it on toast. -

Will Trump's "war on facts" eventually catch up with him?
It's amazing to me how so many are trying so hard to whitewash his background and history. Surely he can't be as smart as some say he is when you look at the number of failures he's had, and you attribute much of his success to scams and frauds. 17 of his businesses have failed in the past few decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle. Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!) Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O. Promises made but never kept: Every voter and supporter needs to be reminded of Trump's promises last time he was running: He promised to cut the deficit. He added $8T. He promised to build a wall. He only did 458 miles out of 2,000. Most of it was repair or replacement, not new. He promised to make Mexico pay. They didn't. We did. He promised to unveil a new healthcare plan. It didn't exist. He promised a middle-class tax cut. He cut taxes for the rich. The middle class is paying for it. He said he wouldn't play golf as President. He made 250 visits (way more than Obama) to his own golf clubs. It cost taxpayers $150 million. He said he'd increase economic growth by 4%. Nope. Biden did. He promised an infrastructure plan. He had none. President Biden signed a massive one. He promised to hire "the best people." He fired 3/4 of them and then said they were the worst ever, and they said HE was in fact the worst ever. He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs. He didn't: Biden did. He promised a Hillary lock-up. Nope Promised we'd win the trade war with China. Nope, It cost about 250,000 jobs and hurt Americans, not helped them. He promised his corporate tax cuts would help and benefit workers, and corporations would use that money to invest in American workers. They didn't, they used that money to buy back stocks. He promised to revive the coal industry. Never happened: more coal jobs were lost during his presidency. The list of his failures and broken promises are too numerous to list. -

Crime Teen Conflict Turns Deadly: Thai Boy Killed in Brutal Attack
Photo via Channel 8 In a shocking incident near Bangkok, a 16-year-old Thai boy and his friends surrendered to police after a violent altercation led to the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old. Yesterday, police responded to a scene in Nonthaburi province where a tragic attack resulted in the death of a 15-year-old identified as Surawut, known as “Tar.” The incident unfolded on a road between Soi Bang Si Mueang 20 and 24, with Tar found severely wounded and stripped as part of an apparent act of humiliation. Tar was discovered wearing a T-shirt and trousers, the latter pulled down, and had suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest, losing a significant amount of blood. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive. A knife, approximately ten inches long, was retrieved about 100 metres from his body, and two motorcycles were discovered nearby, indicating a possible hurried escape attempt. Further tragedy struck as Tar's friend, 15-year-old Wit, sustained a cut to his wrist, and another companion, identified as Q, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Both were promptly taken to hospital, although their current conditions have not been revealed. CCTV footage, crucial to the investigation, captured Tar and his friends desperately fleeing from a group of attackers around 2:20 am. After a motorcycle mishap, Tar was caught and fatally assaulted. The 16-year-old suspect, along with four accomplices, later turned themselves in at Bang Si Mueang Police Station. Reports reveal that the accused confessed to the stabbing, citing a dispute stemming from jealousy and a love triangle as the catalyst for this tragic outcome. Police investigations have unravelled a more complex narrative involving numerous teenagers. At least 21 were implicated in the incident, with thirteen already questioned. The remaining suspects are still being sought by the authorities. The hostility reportedly began on social media, escalating when female friends from both groups clashed online. A face-to-face meeting was arranged to resolve the tensions. However, an accidental encounter later that night reignited the confrontation, swiftly turning into a deadly assault. As things stand, formal charges have not yet been imposed. The police plan a thorough examination of all involved through a multidisciplinary approach to ensure a comprehensive understanding and resolution of this disturbing case. This tragic incident has not only highlighted the dangers of unchecked youth violence but also the dire consequences of conflicts ignited through social media. As investigations continue, the community remains in shock, grappling with the senseless loss and the sobering realities it unearths. Adapted by ASEAN Now from The Thaiger 2025-08-04
