Wiang Inn Or Wangcome Hotel?

Planning a first time visit to Chiang Rai and can’t decide between the Wiang Inn or the Wang Come. Price is about the same for either. I’m looking for a place in a central downtown location with a swimming pool and is guest friendly.

Anyone familiar with both places and can recommend one place over the other?

Thanks.

Have stayed at the Wangcome twice. My room was very good. Large with two bathrooms. Good hotel and good location for night market and the bars in jet jot.

Not stayed in the Wiang Inn but have been in ..... The pool is quite small.......... more of a large tub really.

But i guessyou won't be disappointed with either.

But in my humble opinion get out of the city and stay at the Waterford hotel. great rooms, my bath was huge and the swimming pool area is fantastic.

Well. I emailed the Wangcome to ask if they are guest friendly and received no reply. Can someone confirm that these two hotels are guest friendly? I will not have a car so I don't want to stay out of town. Thanks

Better food at the Wiang Inn.

Great in-house Filipino musician named Fred who plays the keyboard at the coffee shop from 19:00 to 21:00, then at the lobby lounge from 21:00 to midnight. Has an extensive repertoire of songs.

The pool at the Wangcome is not what you probably have in mind. It is actually in an atrium just off the coffee shop .. and pretty small ..

.. unless they have a second pool.

Have stayed at both many times, but now favour the Wangcome over the Waing Inn. The staff are far more friendly and it's right in the middle of everything.
