Hotels - Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi...

I'm looking for hotel reccomendations in Bangkok... I usually stay in the Sukhumvit area but would like to stay somewhere different next time.

So I'm looking for inexpensive options, no need for anything special, just a room, TV, fridge and Aircon will do... (obviously nice and clean), will be staying for about 4 days.

I've looked on all the sites (so many to choose from) but would prefer a reccomendation from someone...

Thanks in advance

p.s One member was kind enough to e-mail a recommendation, for which I was very grateful.

Totster. At Samsen Soi 6 theres a hotel called the Nakorn Pink. Its 300 baht a night an extra 100 for aircon. You get a fridge, toilet, fan, tv, shower, double bed, phone and free drinking water. Its about a 5-7 minute walk to Khao San or 20baht tuk-tuk. Got a cheap restaurant at the end of ths soi. I like it. Most of my matse stay there when they are in town. Its not flash but is a good price and its clean.

Nakorn Pink? Umm, no. This was the place were a girl died from a heroin overdose. The guy who was there ,'boufing' her prior to this, was never found.

Much better to stay closer to the river, on the Phra Athit Road. A nicer area with a few places owned and run by Thai graduates.

Try the New Siam 2; http://www.newsiam.net/new2.htm
