Pink ID Card has your Tax ID number
Maybe the first digit identifies the district tax office; I presume yours is not Sathorn district. My pink card begins with a 6, but I am informed the TIN will begin with a "1". I was also informed that a TIN is issued straight away, (by and at the office I am applying). -

Help needed with one question about UK frozen state pension.
As another example of UK Gov't practice, my (Thai) wife is currently on the five-year route to getting Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK. For the entire 5 yr period we have to supply evidence supporting the case that she is living and "habitually resident" in the UK. They have long since removed any "183 days" or "more than 6 months in a calendar year" criteria and replaced it with the "habitually resident" requirement. They are asking for 6-12 joint/individually addressed utility/bank/gov't correspondences evenly spread over the 5 years. So, we can assume the DWP will be equally fastidious when ascertaining "habitual residency" for re-linking state pension entitlements. -

Russia's ruble drops to more than a 2-year low against the dollar on fresh sanctions and surging tensions Russia's ruble continued to weaken against the dollar on Monday, trading at 104 against the greenback. The currency is now at its weakest level versus the dollar since March 2022, when Russia first began its invasion of Ukraine. Investors were spooked after the US imposed fresh restrictions on Russia's Gazprombank on Thursday, which, up until last week, had been the last major Russian bank that hadn't yet been blacklisted by the US. The new restrictions limit Gazprombank's ability to participate in global financial trade and also prevent the bank from handling transactions related to energy trade, meaning European customers are unable to pay for Russian gas. The latest restrictions are adding to concern over Moscow's weakening economy, which has been battered by Western sanctions since the start of the Ukraine war.
