Hi,

i'm looking for a 250 (or 400 if not too expensive) second hand supermotard or motocross bike that i could transform into a supermoto bike, i looked at a lot of websites, but the only supermoto i found was on Samui and overpriced...

Does anybody know where to find that in or around Bangkok ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

It may be out of your price range (and most anyone else's too), but you may want to have a look at the Ducati shop at 842 Sukhumvit Soi 55 (Thonglor). It's called Ducatisti, phone 02-381-8811. They should have the Hypermotard in by now. If that's way beyond what you're searching for, then for no other reason you may still want to stop by and ask advice where else you might look because they are very helpful motorheads.

Also consider looking through the evening flea market at the Ladprao/Ratchadaphisek junction. Lots of older bikes and parts available.

There's several Suzuki DRZ400 bikes around in Pattaya. Not cheap though, would guess around the 200,000 Baht mark second hand.

Thanks a lot for your answers, about the Ducati Hypermotard, it's a really great bike that i would love to own, as my old bike were an Agusta Brutale 750 and a Ducati Monter 1000, i'm a big fan of italian bikes, but i would be way to scared to leave it alone in Bkk... :o

I've seen some DRZ400 for 180'000, that's almost what i'm looking for. I heard about a thai website with lots of second hand bike for sell, but still didn't find it...

Sounds like you should talk to my husband Shane - PM me if you want his number, as he has a lot of supermoto contacts here and should be able to help you :o

Just in case you're free today, the Thai Supermoto Championships are being held at Nakorn Chaisi where my husband is racing. You should be able to spot him easily - he's big guy covered in tatts and rides an Aprilia SXV.

You can buy, without any problems a Kawasaki D-tracker 250 from Kawasaki Thailand direct. Delivery time, currently, is about 15 days.

Do you know the price of the D-Tracker Richard? and does it include registration etc?

Thanks

Yesterday I talked with Kawasaki special shop again, they sold several D-Trackers 250 for several prices, but all are less then 160,000 Baht. This includes the register cost of 600 Baht, which is currently not more the registering a Honda Wave or a Yamaha Fino. Something you normal not worry about at the motorcycle shop.

That's a good price, especially when compared with "grey" imports. Thanks for the info. Interested.
