Attraction Coaches Hold Dating Boot Camps

Featured Replies

Once in a blue moon I will read something that definitely needs to be passed on. In today's News Ltd newspapers (and online) there is this story that tells about how insecure guys need a coach to help them find girls. They attend a course which costs around $US3000. Wouldn't they be better taking a flight to Thailand and being told: 'Come inside hansum man ...?'

Attraction coaches hold dating boot camps

IN the weird world of men, picking up women has often been described as an art. But it's not, it's a science ... just ask the bold blokes from Get Hitched.

This team of "attraction coaches" hold dating boot camps in Sydney once a month, at which they promise to turn normal, women-fearing men into lady-killers.

This might sound fanciful, even farcical, but these highly practised pick-her-uppers - all of whom make Bill Clinton look like a shrinking violet - offer a money-back guarantee for their $750, two-night course.

Company founder Sean Grobbelaar points out that attraction coaching is a billion-dollar industry in the US and that when its experts bring their mojo down under, they charge as much as $3000 for similar sessions.

"Every guy, for the past 6000 years, has been getting women somehow, without knowing how this stuff works," churningly charming Mr Grobbelaar said.

"We're offering the ultimate practical pick-up experience.

"It's a skill set, like anything else. It can be learned, and it will have a massive impact on the way you approach women."

"It's hard to get out of your comfort zone, to get that conditioning out of your head that a girl's going to think you're a creep if you approach her, because they don't," Get Hitched's head coach Stephen Park said.

"Fear of rejection is just fear of the unknown. It's about self-esteem. You're a rock inside. Nothing can affect you.

"It can be quite blunt and very politically incorrect, but we get down and dirty. We get the job done.

"We teach you to invade their personal space as soon as possible, but as subtly as possible."

There was also much talk of being "internally validated", of body language, positive thinking, "HBs" (that's hot babes for the uninitiated) and the fact that "93 per cent of communication is non-verbal".

So much so, in fact, that Mr Park claimed: "I don't listen to what they say. I've learned not to take them seriously.

"It's physical, it's about attraction, and you learn to spot that."

Guinea pig Tom Bartlett was very happy with the results of the coaching session.

"It's just incredible," he said. "What they're doing seems so simple, but I reckon I can do it - watch, I'll do it right now."

With that, he ploughed into a group of attractive women and, sure enough, had them laughing along with him - and handing over phone numbers - in no time.

As Mr Bartlett put it later: "I felt like a total sleazebag, but it paid off. I think they've created a monster".

Ben Tang, 29, a graduate of the full boot camp, is a big fan of its benefits.

"It teaches you some important life skills - not just for approaching women, but basic social skills that most guys lack," Mr Tang said.

:o Nice one Peter.

We had this chap called Neil Strauss giving a talk about something similar a few weeks back at the place I work.

You can find a lot of this sort of stuff on youtube if you look up PUA or pick up artists.

A lot of the guys promoting these groups and making money from it seem the type you'd find on their day job

selling mobile phones or cold calling you for double glazing.

It's quite sad to see them boosting up the confidence of some (desperate) guy to walk up to some random beauty

and hit on her with some real tacky chat ups and then watch them get blown out.

And to be honest there's a reason why a lot of these guys aren't successful and it's called natural selection.

But if you're the kind of guy that will take candy from a baby or scam pensioners for bogus shares this is probably a nice little earner.

There was also much talk of being "internally validated", of body language, positive thinking, "HBs" [(that's hot babes for the uninitiated),

I'll sue!

Believe me, I'll sue.

:o

A bit too serious to laugh at! But I will anyway! :o

churningly charming Mr Grobbelaar s

So thats what hes been doing since he left Liverpool. :D :D

You have to be an absolute dweeb or a loser to not be able to attract a women without paying to learn how to. Even a shy guy does well. It takes all types. Unless you are hiding in a closet somewhere I just don't get it. Even a stupid pickup line could be used as an icebreaker. Sounds as bad as a inspiratonal for making money as the speaker is loading his wad of your hunskys in his pocket with your money. Then he tells you go get em tiger. Now where was I 9100 9400 $10,200.......even getting some pretty flowers 7 offering them to a girl you want to talk to & telling her your normally a very shy person works good (for the homeliest types even)
