Hi there all . . . . .

small(ish) question.

I've read on here that it's possible with the right 'juggling' to get 15 months from a 12 month visa . . . .

Could somebody be kind enough to steer me on the right course?

Visa details:

Multi O based on marriage issued in UK: issue date 6 Dec 2007 - Enter before 5 12 2008:

First stamp 4 Jan 2008 till 2 April 2008

Will be leaving Thailand to UK for around a month on the 3rd July.

one point: I would like to get the next stamp to last till I leave 3rd July

two point: I would like to stay 15 months.

Many thanks in advance for any help given.

Its very easy. Every time you re-enter Thailand you will be given a 90 day stamp. You could leave 100 times if you wanted to, but every time you will get 90 days. To get 15 months you simply do a final border run a couple of days before your visa expires, ie 5/12/2008, and they will stamp you in until March 2009.

To stay until 3rd July you will either have to do an extra border run, or apply for a 7 day extension at your local immigration. Quick calculation, if you do a run on 2nd April your 90 days will expire 30th June ish. If you do a border run you can do it any time between April and July, as when you return from the UK late July/ August you will get another 90 days anyway.

Each time you enter you will get a stamp for 90 days. If you want to stay longer you need to do a border hop which will get you another 90 day stamp.

Do a final border run on the day before your "must enter before" date (in your case that will be 4/12/08) and you'll get a final 90 day stamp taking you to some time in 09.

NOTE If you want to leave the country during this final 90 days you will need to get a re-entry permit to protect the final stamp or you'll be given a 30 day visa exemption (assuming you're entitled to one)
