Hello......

I replied to a question earlier today about someone who was planning to Marry a Thai women

I was not aware I should not have Posted an answer as the 'thread' was old......my reply was removed.

I realise its the old debate of problems with Thai women but it is still very relevant.

Especially to those who are considering making that big step.

I will not go into the details as it would take pages but its not sour grapes.......just experience and realism after 5 years!

My advice is DO NOT GET INVOLVED or MARRY A THAI WOMAN........

The chances are stacked against it being a success. ( Fact )

I am happy to give the reasons if it stops someone making the biggest mistake of their lives!

Thats a bit weak don't you think......One has to generalise...........But the Fact is Marrying A Thai Woman is usually doomed to failure FACT.

Of course you might be lucky and find a needle in a big haystack!

Dude... You need to look in the mirror and look at the idiot staring back at you.. Just because you and some others have had a failed relationship with a Thai women, does not make you the expert in given advice..

There are many failed marriage all over the world, some shorter and some longer then 5 years.. So, for you to state the FACT that it's Thai women specifically that no one should marry, based on your failed marriage is ridiculous..

So, what you need to do while your looking into the mirror, tell yourself about your problem and advice and keep it to yourself.. and go on your happy way, pat yourself on your back that you saved many men from making the same mistake you did.. NOT!!!

I hear ya!!!! But it's the same with all women in my case, I just don't want to get married, I won't say never, but I'm 44 now and I'm always content to live with, stay with, be with, a nice women (from any country) and not get married.. I like it easy, with no complications when/if it does not workout.

I am sorry to say this, but what utter rubbish. How many failed marriages have you had to Thai women, that you can believe you have had the full experience and can warn people off based on empirical evidence?

If every failed marriage is an indication of the utter unsuitability of the women of that country, then no woman in the world is fit to marry. And in the interests of fairness, all the men as well, because it take 2 hands to clap.

I have had 12 years with the same Thai woman, and she has put up with so much. My description of her is gentle, caring, warm, upbeat, courageous and extremely resilient in the face of adversity. And I would add never afraid to disagree with me, so this is no submissive doormat I have been with.

And yes, today she makes more than I do, so it isn't the money. And she changes the wall sockets etc, so it isn't having a handyman around either.

Words simply fail me. Short of swearing, which I refuse to do, I have nothing more to say.

I sort of expected that.

She hates to cook, I love cooking. She is OK washing up, I can't be bothered. And she has got far better eyesight and more patience than I have, so she does the intricate handywork like wall sockets.

But its all about give and take mate. If she has had a rough day at work, I boot her out of the kitchen after dinner, and I do the washing up as well. And if I'm in a hurry to get to the local for my big screen rugby or whatever, she'll chase me off and water the garden for me.

Its not about who does what, its just trying to make life better for the other person because you care.

Having said that, I still think I'm a lucky sod to have her.
