for the former I've never seen it but if it can be done for vans i don't see why not for pick ups. You know, if this is pick up is gonna be used for transporting I've seen trucks parked on the side of the streets with a sign in thai that says 'for hire'

for the latter, i don't think you need our help! Car rentals are all over the place!

Try your local hire company many do cars and trucks etc.

Just check the insurance cover that they offer.

I used to hire a similar truck as a tourist before I bought one.

I hired one from Q-Cars in Pattaya for a month for Bt25k or Bt28k I think. Daily I'd expect about Bt1500. That was 4*2 auto.

Last time I used them I got a battered old Strada but it was Ok and I got a discount so no complaints..

Now we use use a small local Thai outfit and get a Honda city (new ) for 900 a day.....wife prefers it to the trucks although when/if we ever move out their we have or eye on a couple of new Toyo Vigos ...avec big wheels and go faster stripes...........gotta shift all those cherrys,King Eddies and Cados that she wants to grow.....
