Phuket Immigration - Are They Asking For Photos?

Bearing in mind the inconsistencies in implementing rules/asking for various docs at different imm depts throughout the country when applying for any visa here, has anyone been to Phuket Immigration lately to apply for a visa extension based on marriage to a Thai national, and been asked for photographs of the happy couple in their house[/b]? And if so, where are such couple supposed to be photographed, and how many times. Thankyou for your time.

I went to Immigration last week to extend my Non-Imm "O" visa which is based on being married to my Thai wife. I did not have to produce any photo's of us together. However, I did take my wife and son along as a confirmation and language back up.

Previously though. I received a one year visa and had to renew that each year. I was told several times by immigration (in the past) that my visa would not be renewed in future as I was too young to retire here, and therefore was told to get a job. Now I am working and have a work permit I was told that I have to report to immigration every three months. I have never had to do this before. I don't know why this is the case.

It's always been the case that folks with one year extension have to report to any immigration office every 90 days. It's called NOTIFICATION of address. If you don't report in then it's considered overstay and you will be fined accordingly. I believe there is a 10 day latitute allowed if late reporting in.

I am married to a Thai national and have one year extensions each year, and have never had to provide photos for Phuket Immigration, BUT I do take my wife along each year.
