Getting A Chinese Visa In Bangkok

God daaaamn that's expensive for just 30 days. I really wish the Chinese Embassy would get back to me so I can find out the real prices.

It's for a double entry visa (above copy) but I think it's still expensive.

I did it in BKK but can't remember the price but certainly not that expensive for a normal 30 day visa.

Just go and try or phone and ask.

You can also have it done for you by a travel agent but they charge extra for the trouble.

It ended up being 4800 Baht. Still about 500 RMB less than doing it in Hong Kong, but still not as cheap as I thought it'd be. I used one of the service places near Khao San. I checked just about every single place that offered the service and that was the cheapest price. Many initially gave me an extremely low figure just to call someone on the phone, yak in that horrible language of theirs, and smile uncomfortably at me as they raise the price.

Getting to the embassy from there seemed to be a hassle and expensive. The embassy NEVER picked up the phone.
