I thought it might be tricky!

If there was only a way of using the hot air and bull shit from 90% (and rising) of the people on this island.

if it's for balloons then make sure you do actually get helium , and not hydrogen , ( which is a cheaper more common gas that some balloons are filled with here and is highly inflammable/explosive )

Helium is a non-renewable natural resource that is quickly being totally depleted.

It cannot be manufactured in any way, and cannot be replaced with any other gas. More here.

As someone said BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT THEY SELL YOU!

There have been many incidents with injuries here because hydrogen was used. :o

If you want to play it safe, get the salesperson to step outside and pop a balloon using a cigarette lighter. :D

Hi, getting exactly what you require is going to be the problem. Helium is very expensive. On koh Tao there are a couple of technical dive operators who use Helium in their tri mixes. You could try to seeif there are any on Samui. If not PM meand I'll give you the number of one of the tech guys. Be warned though the helium you are probably used to messing with is industrial Helium which is not 100%. Inhaling pure Helium can result in unconciousness. Be careful dying for a laugh is not funny. If its a laugh you want try nitrous oxide AKA laughing gas. :o
