I could be wrong, but I don't think Noodles is Erco. I'm pretty sure that he's a troll by another member of that forum. Erco is still posting on there as Erco, but is in jail so can be ignored pretty easily.

The mention of Erco got me thinking actually. Is the measure of a troll determined by who they purport to be or by where they post? Erco got some serious responses here, but was largely ignored & then jailed over there. Noodles, however, is still going strong there. Does the relevance of the trolling come from the audience you're playing to?

BTW, I would not count ColPyat as a troll either. Is he gone now? Shame. I liked him.

I still think Scampys double invention of Wes Turner, the jet ski champion from Samui, and Uma~~, an exotic model from the middle east, were the cleverest and funniest trolls.

He managed to have these imagined characters meet up on a drunken date in Samui with a real, well known, poster supposedly with them on the night and supporting the story.

He was a dinky di (real/genuine) bloke (person) from the greatest country in the whole world (Australia). He was also a right numbat (fool) with as much use as a hip pocket on a singlet (not much really). Some of the blokes (men) and shielas (ladies) thought him pretty grouse (good) and some even went so far as reckon (say/think) he was true top shelf (very good).

he was great fun , very entertaining . To me , very clearly he was not a troll .

Perhaps sometimes overly defensive , trying to make his point clear with digging deeper

into a subject , which made every thread he was posting in interesting , just because of that .

I was a frequent reader at the news forum at the time , now I'm not .

I remember the posters who got heated by him , were the ones who could not stand it loosing

their claims versus his . Definitely he was a master at looking things from a other perspective , while

most of the others build their opinions on regular news .

I do agree that some of his stories sound a bit awkward , not necessarily means they are not true .

I found it a bit short sighted from some trying to get their right and he is wrong , like its a game ,

its not , they were different opinions viewed from different angles , some don't get that .

LaoPo, you are absolutely right...ThaiGoon was a real piece of work. He never met a farang that he didn't hate. Said he was living in London. I'm sure he was a real hit there.

It seems most trolls really only create one or two threads and then disappear. GeraldMickelwhite was a classic example...started a post about ladyboys and was never heard from again. RIP.

There was one other really vitriolic poster in the gay forum....Dumpster. He was finally banned, but not after making IJustWannaTeach's life miserable for a few months.
