March 13, 200818 yr Maigoo 6 in his early anti-Pattaya rants was up there !! Seems to be on the happy pills now though, good luck to him.
March 13, 200818 yr What about that lovely young chap Erco ?He boiled the blood of many people boy, that's going down deep into the of Archives' basement... Terrific trolling thread titles he OP'd: Misguided Unfortunates That Married Hookers The Benefits Of Marrying A Prostitute? I believe he's still posting elsewhere as english noodles. I could be wrong, but I don't think Noodles is Erco. I'm pretty sure that he's a troll by another member of that forum. Erco is still posting on there as Erco, but is in jail so can be ignored pretty easily. The mention of Erco got me thinking actually. Is the measure of a troll determined by who they purport to be or by where they post? Erco got some serious responses here, but was largely ignored & then jailed over there. Noodles, however, is still going strong there. Does the relevance of the trolling come from the audience you're playing to? BTW, I would not count ColPyat as a troll either. Is he gone now? Shame. I liked him. One that none of you have mentioned was Capt M0ney Shot. I hated him when I was posting on General a lot, but now realise he was trolling.
March 13, 200818 yr Indeed I should always check what I agree with. I look forward to seeing what you can dig up, it will be much appreciated as always. March 13, 200818 yr Did you meet him?as he said himself... anyone can be anyone here on the 'Net. Posting information doesn't guarantee or verify anything. He know doubt read a lot about Thailand, but anyone can. But it's ok, UG, you are not alone in being hoodwinked by the Master. Colpyat is great fun. I don't know who he is (I was never interested in knowing), but I don't know who you are either. If he is the Master, one of a kind, then he is missed just for that alone. While at times he got too emotional in his posts, he was always highly interesting. He always sounded to me as if he was a retired spook.
March 13, 200818 yr Volume 1 of assorted dubious claims, miscellaneous flames, and inaccurate falsehoods... These experiences would be pretty commonplace for a serious writer or journalist.

I'm not going to go and try and find it, however, he did refer to himself as a reporter / journo in one of his flames / rants at moi.
March 13, 200818 yr I still think Scampys double invention of Wes Turner, the jet ski champion from Samui, and Uma~~, an exotic model from the middle east, were the cleverest and funniest trolls. He managed to have these imagined characters meet up on a drunken date in Samui with a real, well known, poster supposedly with them on the night and supporting the story. They had a falling out when Uma started ringing Wes at home late at night and got him in trouble with his wife. Uma~~ created quite a bit of interest in the Ladies forum with "her" thread about genital piercings. (rumour has it that Jeffery Stanthorpe was the Moog.) Stanthorpe was the original owner of BangkokChat.
March 13, 200818 yr Not really a troll but what happened to Terry57 ? He fled the coop and landed at BalsaDorkdotcom.
March 13, 200818 yr You have waaay too much spare time on your hands SRJ... you should be out tending your roses. actually, it's not too time-consuming when all his various assertions started piling up and began going into the "Dubious Claimers Folder"... not much to pull them out in order.... but the sub-folder "Deleted Posts by Dubious Claimers" will be most enlightening for some here perhaps.

March 13, 200818 yr Not really a troll but what happened to Terry57 ? He fled the coop and landed at BalsaDorkdotcom. Crikey Mate!! That's cracking amazing!! A bunch of Sheilas over there.. Definitely not top shelf folks... *with apologies to my Australian brethren for my pseudo-Terry57-style impression*

Mate that file must be about 93% of the whole of ThaiVisa postings. <crowboy wonders off thinking "and people call ME anally retentive HAH!!"> CB
March 13, 200818 yr (rumour has it that Jeffery Stanthorpe was the Moog.) Stanthorpe was the original owner of BangkokChat. I thought the owner was a woman "Cheryl"? - she was talking about committing suicide and people kept telling her ways to do it. Talk about caring and sharing. CB
March 13, 200817 yr Well, he should have been better able to mind his manners and the rules. Sorry to see him go but the rules are the rules and those people incapable of following them eventually find themselves off the forum. Shall we get back to trolls here as admin does frown on discussion of moderation issues quite strongly?

March 13, 200817 yr I always wondered, was that real or fake? Aussies, what do you think? He was a dinky di (real/genuine) bloke (person) from the greatest country in the whole world (Australia). He was also a right numbat (fool) with as much use as a hip pocket on a singlet (not much really). Some of the blokes (men) and shielas (ladies) thought him pretty grouse (good) and some even went so far as reckon (say/think) he was true top shelf (very good). Personally I think he was full of bulldust (bullsh1t) and a total wanke_r (ummmmmmm figure it out yourself). CB
March 13, 200817 yr I could be wrong, but I don't think Noodles is Erco. I'm pretty sure that he's a troll by another member of that forum. Erco is still posting on there as Erco, but is in jail so can be ignored pretty easily. Nah, Erco wasn't Noodles, London Croc or Lacrust! Moss
March 13, 200817 yr I always wondered, was that real or fake? Aussies, what do you think? He is a real Aussie, and as claimed a fireman in Fremantle. A very different person in the flesh to his persona on TV. His use/abuse of the Aussie vernacular made me, and I dare say a number of Aussies cringe. He showed a remarkable transformation following a warning from an Aussie mod, his English transformed to understandable although his use of smilies did not go down. He occasionally visits here, but has moved fora as Doc Patpong has said.
March 13, 200817 yr Right, Terry's had enough air time. Next. The Dude (i think) always saying things like "You dig witha shovel". Always talking in the third sense. Made me laugh all the time.
March 13, 200817 yr The Dude is still a member, but apparently has dropped the shovel Last Seen: 2008-01-08 22:53:31
March 13, 200817 yr Had to do a search and here's a typical Dude post. I can never remember anyone actually having a crossed word with him. The Dude cannot dig that all you will hear in this forum will be the same old rehash of the following:1. Start a cash losing biz and get a non-b 2. go to school and grab an ED visa 3. get married and get a non o 4. go to a consulsate in bum###### thousands of miles away and try for a non-o for visiting "friends" 5. get married (ouch) 6. get a job, get working papers and then a non-b 7. plow 40 million baht into an acct and get an investment visa The Dude's opinion? These are not options for many dude's, not diggable in other words so The Dude says deep six these ideas. Sadly The Dude nor anyone else has the solution for your situation and he sympathizes. No shovels to be handed out to dig any or all of this. Dig?

While at times he got too emotional in his posts, he was always highly interesting. He always sounded to me as if he was a retired spook. he was great fun , very entertaining . To me , very clearly he was not a troll . Perhaps sometimes overly defensive , trying to make his point clear with digging deeper into a subject , which made every thread he was posting in interesting , just because of that . I was a frequent reader at the news forum at the time , now I'm not . I remember the posters who got heated by him , were the ones who could not stand it loosing their claims versus his . Definitely he was a master at looking things from a other perspective , while most of the others build their opinions on regular news . I do agree that some of his stories sound a bit awkward , not necessarily means they are not true . I found it a bit short sighted from some trying to get their right and he is wrong , like its a game , its not , they were different opinions viewed from different angles , some don't get that . I do miss this for some apparent troll , which he was not , a teaser at times he was , not crazy if you choose to get it any discussion , especially when you have something extra to add . Anyway the rules are the rules and anybody going to far for whatever reason should get banned , right so or not right so is up to the mods , and so be it ! The best clear troll for me was the guy writing in the third sentence , he was great .
March 13, 200817 yr Whatever happened to ThaiGoon....? He certainly was able to stir it up.....especially in the business section....... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showuser=38154 LaoPo
March 14, 200817 yr Whatever happened to ThaiGoon....?He certainly was able to stir it up.....especially in the business section....... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showuser=38154 LaoPo LaoPo, you are absolutely right...ThaiGoon was a real piece of work. He never met a farang that he didn't hate. Said he was living in London. I'm sure he was a real hit there. It seems most trolls really only create one or two threads and then disappear. GeraldMickelwhite was a classic example...started a post about ladyboys and was never heard from again. RIP. There was one other really vitriolic poster in the gay forum....Dumpster. He was finally banned, but not after making IJustWannaTeach's life miserable for a few months.
March 14, 200817 yr [colpyat] a teaser at times he was , not crazy Would you, or anyone else that believed in his believability, care to address his bizarre behavior last week? I've noticed no one has discussed it after I've mentioned it.
March 14, 200817 yr I can understand how he became so frustrated that he just didn't care anymore. After all, it is really OUR loss. I addressed it almost immediately.
