March 24, 200817 yr Hi folks. It looks very much like I will have to spend the better part of this coming 12 months in Surin, living in rented accommodation. Anybody know of any agencies, websites or private individuals with rental property? Simple requirements, at least 1 bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and an aircon unit. Apartment or house, I don't care which. Thanks in advance.
March 24, 200817 yr Author Thanks but I already tried to contact Martin, I used the contact form on the Farang Connection website a few days ago and have received no reply, so this forum was my logical next place to ask the question. Cheers on the heads up for the apartments, I am guessing they are the usual by the day, week or month kinda place? Nothing against them, just hoping for something a little more permanant.

March 24, 200817 yr Author Thanks lilleper, but that is a little too far out for me, plus I really need aircon, I'm a writer by trade and a suffered all last year without aircon and got almost no work done at all during the hot season. This year I need to stay cool to stay focused.

If these are not suitable and if you want furnished accommodation the most logical way to go, IMO, is apartment rental. http://farangconnection.com/index.php?opti...1&Itemid=45 Cheers
March 25, 200817 yr Author Yeah I agree, it looks like an apartment is going to be the best bet I think. It's only going to be for around 8 months, so I am not inclined to move into a house, sort out the furnishings to my liking, settle in, call it home and then leave it in less than a years time.

March 26, 200817 yr Sorry you did niot have any joy with the web-site. I get around 1000 e-mails every day, and nearly all of them offer me a bigger range of weaponry or a different Harem to use it in, but apart from one or two requiring info, I have received no requests for houses in Surin. A Dutchmen came and saw me monday, and that was the dayafter the Theep Thani house came up for rent, and he snatched it up for 6,000. I do reply to ALL e-mails sent to me, so I will look into the fact that I did not receive that one.

She says they have a couple of apartments available and I also have a friend who is in them long-term and he says they are good. If you check the SurinMajestic website, that will give you contact details, IF you feel its appropriate. I think rooms start at around 6,000b. I hope you find somewhere and enjoy Surin Dave
March 26, 200817 yr Author Cheers folks, I will arrive in Surin on the 29th I think, currently in Khon Kean, I will need to find somewhere fairly quickly, so I'll follow up on the apartment leads you folks have supplied. Also I need to rent a car/van to run back to Koh Phangan and pick some stuff up before Songkran, anyone know of a decent rental business in Surin? Thanks in advance.

March 28, 200817 yr Do you happen to know what else the apartments come equiped with? Kitchen? Balcony?Cheers. Hi Mac Sorry, too late to contact Sis in law and as you are due to arrive 2moro, I would suggest you pop into The Majestic Hotel and ask them to show you around an apartment. I'v only seen them from the outside and the building looks new and well cared for. It is in easy walking distance to ALL amenities including Surin's only 'entertainment' street/The Ferang Connectionx2 and many other fine restaurants/shops. I think its very likely they will have kitchen facilities & parking spaces too. Dave
March 29, 200817 yr Author I'll arrive in Surin this evening, but heading to the village first, the missus wants to see her family (understandable since she's been on Koh Phangan with me for the last few months) and show off the baby, so won't get into town until tomorrow, maybe the day after, do you have a telephone number for Majestic Apartments so I can ring and arrange a viewing in advance?
