Very striking.

Did the figure sitting on the beach have to be posed, or was it just a bonus?

What kind of filter did you have on?

or is it electronic processing.

Perhaps we need a thread on using filters and their effects,

it seems to be a lost art. :o

The scene is completely authentic.

I was dining at a beach front restaurant and watching the clouds gather when the figure appeared. Lucky I guess.

The image is a Lightroom/Photoshop colour and contrast manipulation. I have a selection of pre-sets that I play with.

Here's the original washed out slide (15 years poor storage) and the subsequent restoration.

The submitted image is a play on saturation/colours/curves and a bit of toning.

I don't use filters anymore - Photoshop has pretty much made them redundant. I'll employ an ND or Polariser sometime but usually to adjust the exposure rather than create an effect.

look to the cloud on the left, you can clearly make out a mans face , complete with eyes, nose, mouth and beard......
