Cheap Flights To And Places To Rent In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Am planning on going to Thailand at the end of October (30th/31st) for 6 to 12 months. Will spend some time in Bangkok to start so was hoping to rent a place on a month by month basis for a while.

I figure it may be cheaper than staying in a guesthouse for a couple of months but I don`t really know where to start looking. Can I get a decent place for around 10000B per month or am I dreaming?

Anyone with any advice or suggestions please feel free. If you don`t know of any rental places then a cheap clean guesthouse recommendation would be useful. Around the 200-400B a night with shower mark should suffice on my budget.

Also I am looking for a cheap open return flight (London to BKK) or one with low or no penalties for changing the return flight.

Plan is to stay for 6 months but I know I`ll probably end up staying there for a year hence the return portion of the flight being flexible.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Danny

Buy yourself a one way flight to Bangkok(You'll need to get a visa) . Currently around £250 with Etihad Airways.

Then, when you are ready to return, you can purchase a one way(or return) ticket back to the UK.(Return prices from Thailand as little as £300)

That way, you have the flexibility to return home when you need to, together with an extra ticket to get back out again. All for as little as £550.

Of course, you do not need to buy a return once in Thailand. A one way back to the UK, starts from £150.

10,000 baht per month is not unrealistic. I have no experience with this type of accommodation, but I can list, for instance;

VIP Mansion

Sukhumvit 71

Soi Chuleeporn

(fridge, TV, Tel, AC, cleaning, microwave...

6,500 baht per month(plus elec & water)

Telephone: 02 7110952

SkyTrain: Phra Khanong

I sure many have better examples.

If all else fails, pick up the Bangkok Post

have a look on here www.thaiapartment.com it's by no means complete but will give you a good idea.

  • 2 weeks later...

just used saveflights www.saveflights.com for a return airfare.from bkk.

good email service maybe you might want to check them out.

range of airlines on the website.. better prices than when I asked at the travel agent.

george might want to look at signing them up as sponsors of thai visa.
