Former Teacher’s Home Destroyed by Fire, Estimated Damage Exceeds 5 Million Baht
A devastating fire consumed the home of a retired teacher in Nakhon Luang District, Ayutthaya Province, on the night of November 17, causing damages estimated at over 5 million baht. The blaze was reported around 22:00, prompting police from Nakhon Luang Police Station and local fire department teams to rush to the scene at Moo 3, Pak Chan Subdistrict. Firefighters from Ayutthaya Ruamjai Association also joined the effort. The fire engulfed a two-story house, with a concrete ground floor and a wooden upper floor. Flames spread rapidly as two cars parked in front of the house were quickly moved to safety. Firefighters battled the blaze for over a hour before managing to bring it under control. While no injuries or fatalities were reported, the house was completely destroyed. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring buildings. Mr. Suchin Sildham, 69, the retired teacher and homeowner, said he lived alone. He was resting on the ground floor when neighbors alerted him to flames coming from the second floor. He immediately called the police and fire services. “I believe the fire started due to an electrical short circuit because there is a large electrical control panel upstairs,” Mr. Suchin stated. “The estimated damage to the house is around 5 million baht.” Authorities are currently conducting an investigation and have coordinated with forensic experts to determine the exact cause of the fire. Rubbish. Plenty of marriages between Muslims and non Muslims. In Saudi I worked with an English ( non Muslim ) woman that married a Muslim. She didn't cover her hair at work either. You may be confusing it with the edict that a Muslim can not stop being a Muslim. -
