Tourist Visa Question (newbie)

Featured Replies

i am from a country called TUNISIA and we dont have a thai embassy here :o , so what are the options i have to get a tourist visa and where to get it, know that going to another country is not an option for me because is going to cost me lots of money. thanks in advance.

Although the thaivisa.com website does not include Tunisaon the list of countrys that are elligable for "visa on arrival" most other web sites do. If this is so all you have to do is fly to Bangkok with a valid return air ticket and you will be entitled to stay here for up to 30 days, however it would be best to contact your embassy in Thailand first, just to make sure, also im sure they will be able to tell you this when you go to buy your air ticket.

Although your embassy in Thailand might be able to help, suggest to contact

either Rabat or Madrid. They should have a way for you to apply by mail:

VISA ON ARRIVAL

Tunisia is not on the list of MFA

and for sure there is no visa on arrival allowing a stay longer than 15 days which is the maximum granted for this kind of visa, albeit not for Tunisia p/ports.

thanks to everyone who did reply to my question however going to madrid or to morocco is not an option for me because as i said before it will cost me lots of money and is not worth it.

and now since i am going to guangzhou and hong kong on a business trip (the conton fair) is it possible for me to get a thai tourist visa over there? and what city will be easier for me to get the visa with no hassel, knowing that i can show enough money (100.000bth) for the trip and confirmed return airlines ticket.

Why don't you call your airline or travel agency in Tunis and ask them what to do? You may be able to do it by mail.

Not very helpful are they? I would call the number Axel provided in Rabat and ask them. If no luck there call your Consulate here in the post from mango. It appears situation has recently changed so most information on internet seems to be outdated.
