Featured Replies

checked the search engine but no results :o Is the senior citizen extentions still

on the Thai Imigration books, is posted on the 2004 Immigration Division # 3..

Chaing Mai I think :D 65 year old ,thai wife. 7 uninterupted years here

I have not come across anything like that on the internet in last few years that I recall. Long stay visa used to be age 60 or 55. Three years stay for PR applications. But have not seen what you refer to. Are you looking for options? If you have a long history here it is probably best you contact your normal immigration office for any special circumstances as they can often find a way to help that we might not be aware of.

Not sure what you mean by senior citizen extensions.

The age for retirement is now 50 and has been a for a few years.

As long as your wife still lives, you are fine on the basis of supporting her.

Later you may need to transfer to the retired basis, which jacks up the financial requirement from 400K to 800K.

Unless anyone has news of a visa extension after becoming a widower?

I guess there are several of us who may have to face this situation sooner or later.

If you have 7 years on one visa you could try the PR path,

but based on some recent posts I would not hold out too much hope.
