What's with all these 'need woman's view' posts on your 'ladies' forum' - never heard farang (mostly) women being referred to as 'ladies'. bar tarts yes, farang no.

This the thai expat equivalent as some boring male bastard edging along the bar of your local pub to bore the shit out of you when you're just out for a relaxing one and a natter or so with whoever's in the same location? Yeah. I've met many of you. And I'll say trhe same as back 'ome.

Sod off and bore someone else with you're self inflicted self indulgent tripe. 'wimmin's point of view' <deleted>.

One of the advantages of having sex with your wife is not having to wear a condom. Too bad most women don't have the basic skills. Too bad someone does not teach them. Or maybe they don't want to learn, I don't know. You can blame it on the male for not providing the instruction but lets face it most guys don't have a clue that's why they get wrapped up in short time strumpets so easily. And different cultures are different. Thais are vanilla, Japanese are at the other extreme. In any event there is lots of information out there, you only have to look.

From the Health Forum.

If you had to put a bet on someone, just by reading the above, that you know would post on this thread, who would it be? Rhetorical question it is against the spirit of the thread.

Yup, thought that had to be the reason!

Two contenders spring to mind immediately. Mark my words, one of them made an indelible mark on my opinion, but I won't risk a black mark against me for mentioning his name here, especially since the question is rhetorical.......and considering a recent thread in Bedlam, it would be even naughtier of me to allude to the other.

:whistling:

this is excellent from the Samui thread on the booze ban coming up

"..... (speaking in posh Thai voice) Oh gosh, Sombat, due to our antique feudal system which assumes that all the serfs never leave their villages, we have to get the irritating bloody peasants back to their huts so they can vote for us."

"Indeed Suchart, I suppose we have no choice but to give the annoying blighters time off work so they can travel home."

"Heavens no, Sombat, the dull-witted fools will only get drunk if we give them holidays - you know this - that's why we got rid of 'week-ends' and banished holidays. Give them an hour with no work to do and they immediately render themselves catatonic with alcohol."

"True ... true. So then we must ban alcohol then they are not tempted to intoxicate themselves - you know that these child-like people possess no self-restraint."

"Heavens above Suchart, our stalwart Boys in Skin Tight Brown would have a jolly-old dickey fit! No alcohol indeed! It's preposterous."

"Umm . . . then perchance we might close all the taverns of ill-repute, sing-a-songs and 7-11s - but ensure that the Mom n Pop supermarkets near the police stations remain unhindered?"

"Splendid ruse, old boy!"

"But what about all the farang?"

" . . . what is 'farang'?"

I collect all my garbage and at the end of the week simply drive to a random rural lane close by and dump it at the side. I'm obviously more Thai than most of you guys. :D

I love this cryptic errmsg.

Anyone up for discussion on quantum mechanics.

From mcgriffith in the Chiang Mai forum...

Ah, well.....

Let's not be too hard on the OP. He seems a bit unhappy about CM- but haven't we all been same-same at one time or another?

I see it like this. Everyone new here goes through 2 or 3 or 5 stages (some never get past stage 2).

Stage 1: High On Thai. Walk around blissed out, wai' ing monks, beggars, and everyone on the street who isn't hi-so. Rave about how wonderful and healthful Thai food is.:jap:

Stage 2: Learned a bit of language, but still really can't communicate with locals. Starting to get a bit PO'd about lack of infrastructure, corruption- and getting homesick for Provo, Utah.:P

Stage 3: Discover all the secret hidden mystical gems and treasures this town has to offer. Whatever your fantasy, be it higher chakra or base desire...Ali Baba time.:Dave:

Stage 4: Get a bit cranky about Thai politics and the intrinsic unfairness of the patronage system, etc. Life is unfair, for many.:yohan:

Stage 5: Just realize how life back in Kenosha, Wisconsin, or Essex, England, or wherever, will never be the same (see Stage 3). Decide you are here for the long haul, and adopt mai bpen rai attitude. All is good.

B)

When it's hot outside I sweat from every pore without prejudice.

bet you don't sweat out of your nose like a Thai does though !

He does, he is a Thai, he will tell you all about it soon.

It was part of the citizen process.

so are you saying that on becoming a Thai you also become a nose sweater at the same time. Very interesting. There is no mention of this in the ' camerata guide ' . Maybe they don't want us to know.

From Kerryk

What is the worst thing that can happen? Drugged, rolled and tossed in the ocean. It happened to me once and the water usually wakes you up before you drown. What little I remember about it was a fun night and beats an Aussie pub in the outback for sentimental memories. If I had the choice of spending a week with crocodile Dundee or a Thai hooker masquerading as a teacher I would take the Thai lady.
