This is for the more knowledgeable souls out there.

Exactly as it is in the topic header really.

I noticed a nice bike on the pavement outside a motorcycle dealers today.

It was a Honda 400 he said was imported from Japan.

He had an invoice and said that it would be easy to get a green book using it.

Can anyone confirm this or have done it themselves? A sum of 40k Bht was mentioned for the registration.

Thanks for reading, Andy.

And pass an emissions test.. And requires some papers issued one time only at import (so I am told)..

TP quoted 55k for the service and guaranteed success..

If you dont go ahead.. My brother is looking for a later model super sport or VTEC CB400.. if price was right he might be prepared to have the hassle of booking it.

The emission test is only if the model is not known in Thailand, like a bonus to be the first to have a bike in Thailand. (Also I was not aware that it already went into working)

Odd when I asked about plating 2 different second hand bikes I was told emissions were part of the process both times..

In fact thats part of what makes getting a BKK plate (cheaper then doing it here on phuket due to insistence for substantial tea money) a hassle as its multiple trips up to bkk not just one..

Thats all info I was told rather then did tho..
