May 28, 200817 yr The legal age for marriage in the U.S. is 18. A quick Google search shows that this is not 100% correct. To get married without parental consent one must be 18 in all but two states, Nebraska 19 and Mississippi 21. Most states have a provision that persons 16 or 17 can be legally married if they have the written consent of both parents.
