Mobile Phone For Cheap?

Featured Replies

Hello Bangkok!

I'm only going to be in Bangkok for four months and I really don't want to purchase a new phone. Is anyone leaving, wanting to get rid of an extra, selling a phone??? Or does anyone know a place in the city you can pick up a used one for cheap?

Any replys would be much appreciated! Thanks, enjoy the weekend!

Go to MBK.

They have alot of used phones available.

if you dont care about having the latest and just want something that makes and recieves calls, you can find them for under B1000

You can buy a new Nokia most places for under 1,000 baht so don't really understand why you would buy a used/old/basic (probably hot) phone for the same price (possibly with a bad battery that could ruin your day).

I bought a brand new very cute and small LG phone for about the price of a genuine Nokia battery, 1650b. You can get a good choice for under 2000b. Used phones in Thailand are probably not very reliable, not worth the hassle.

You can get a brand new, garden variety Nokia for 1200 baht at Jay Mart, a reputable chain found in my BTS Skytrain stations and malls. Sell for 800 baht to one of the used dealers in MBK when you leave.

I've got a phone from MBK I bought new...wanna buy it? My current phone will now take a sim card (I got it last time just before I went to BKK but they didn't tell me about a 90 day waiting period before giving me the unlock key)..

So if you want it, let me know and I can mail it to ya. All you have to do is go to 7-11 and buy a recharge, dial it in and boom! you're in business!
