Nightmare at the Prachuap tax office
I'm looking at Section 42 (27) of the code, which states as follows: "Section 42 - The assessable income of the following categories shall be exempt for the purpose of income tax calculation: [...] (27) Income derived from maintenance and support or gifts from ascendants, descendants or spouse, but only for the portion not exceeding twenty million Baht throughout the tax year." Does this really mean that if my wife gifts me an amount of money that doesn't exceed 20 million Baht, it's exempt from tax, as far as my tax return is concerned? That seems like an incredibly generous exemption, considering the other amounts involved, such as anything over 120,000 being assessable. -

Are your delivery drivers dropping off packages without a signature?
I ordered a new Mac mini M4 directly from Apple. The SFX company was handling the delivery and the status online said a signature would be required. It was delivered unannounced without a request for signature. I didn't receive any call on the scheduled delivery day but found the parcel just inside our gate. The delivery driver must have passed it over the gate from one hand to the other so he could gently lower it to the ground. Thankfully the package was just a small plain cardboard box that gave no indication it was from Apple. -

Visa Services Limited Now?
I was referring to Mot's announcement that the OP posted. Interestingly, it says "in some cases" as far as visa applications and extensions are concerned, so where exactly the line is at this point is anyone's guess. Feel free to remove if I shouldn't post this screenshot here.
