i got a headache already!! coz... i had some deal from mazda dealer (show room)..

i dont want free 1st class insurance or any kind of offer from dealer (example sensor of reverse, lamina film, spoiler etc)

OPT 1. downpayment 40% with 2.8% for 3yrs finance.

cash discount 70,000 thb ( if add free 1st insurance consider discount 50,000thb)

OPT 2. downpayment 40% with 0% for 3yrs finance

cash discount 35,000 thb

what do u think about above promotion??

if i select opt 2, is this competition deal already? or must try more cash discount??

please help me... and welcome any suggestion...

The mazda will depreciate in resale value very quickly. My friend got one (3) from his brother and used it for a year then decided to sell it.

It was only 2-ish years old but the value fell from 1.1 million to 600 thousand baht.

Having had both cars recently I can offer my insight.

Mazda 3 5 door is a decent looking car with nice styling. Got pretty bored with quickly as the engine and gearbox are not up to scratch. Gutless is a word I would describe it. Also had to sell it as anyone sitting in the back got carsick quickly and this was on short trips. The price dropped like a bomb and you are much better sticking with Honda or Toyota. Loved those red dials though especially in the nighttime.

Honda 2.0 is an incredible car. The styling is clean and love those wheels. Best colour is the white like mine. I think the dials/dashboard is futuristic and not for all. However the engine and gearbox are light years ahead of the Mazda. The responsiveness is really good and you have the paddle shifts available if you wish.

Through the gears etc, the Honda is much faster and there is good visibility in the back seats, so no problems with rear passengers getting carsick. Also the Honda has a decent sized trunk/boot for carrying stuff compared with a terrible one in the Mazda.

I agree with you as well. Civic is a much more comfortable car, more guts and is great fun to drive. ive had mine for 2 years now and I cant find anything to replace it that I like for the same sort of money.

Just searching old posts. Am buying a Mazda 2.0 3 Play with the DVD, SatNav etc nicely discounted from dealer (think the new model coming soon). Looked at the civics, good car but never stopped looking at them as every bloody second car seems to be one.

Even Thai GF said Thais love Hondas and Toyotas but they are so common, she even likes the Mazda as different. So I will be a minority car driver, I wont waive at all you civic drivers as my hand would drop off. Resale, don't care, buy care what i like not what the Thai sheeple endorse.

That Hyundai Coupe looks nice, but quite a few baht, pity.

I agree with u, except the interior colour in the white one is horrible! Blue and gray?? Who came up with that idea.. :S

Comments dead -on on this mazda and Honda., No comparison,. Honda rules in every category,. Just drive one. I can't get past the 35% excise tax penalty and just buy one.

Trying to buy here is a nightnmare on endless bullshit. Lies and more lies from misinformed, incompetent sales staff. APR a joke as well. Government controlled fuel cost is a pain Trucks are just a better value and cheaper to operate. Oh, and for those who understand the significance. The mazda cams run without bearings floating in thier own juice and the crank is cast. The Honda is a race bred state of the art platform with many forged internals and will last forever.

tp the OP: If you buy a cr on installment, the finance company will dictate the insurance for the first year. No way around it.

I just bought a Honda Civic 2.0 2 years old in almost mint conditions. Brilliant car, I can only praise every aspect of it.

In addition to the Mazda it come with cruise control, shift paddles, and more interior space. AND resell value.
