Suzuki Drz400 Sm

Featured Replies

Have just moved to Bkk, and want to to get a motard (probably a DRZ400SM) as a toy not transport. I figure that it will have enough power/be relaxed enough at high(er) speeds to be able to travel out into the countryside, while also being enough of a hooligans machine to keep me happy (last bike was a Husaberg 650 motard).

Where do I get one i.e. a reputable Suzuki dealer, and how much should I pay. I'm looking for new, and possibly an Akropovic or Yoshi pipe.

Probably not going to find one at a reputable dealer.. Suzuki dont sell them here AFAIK.

Plenty of them on the market in Pattaya.. Judging by the amount of them and the fact they are all super low miles the rumor is they are probably stolen in japan (as is a huge % of the second hand big bike market) and shipped broken down.. Prices I was told were around 200k with a green book and about 180 without.. They ranged in miles from about 1000 to 5000+ but there seemed very little price difference for the newest, slight (like 5 - 10k discount on the higher mileage.

Of course that price indicates either the books are not kosher or they are taking a massive hit to book them for you.
