AlexLah Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Alex, take it to WAC once a week, he's next to Carrefour on Rama4, great bunch of car guys there. 200 baht inside outside clean. Furthermore its the unofficial headquarters of ECR (Euro Club Race) so you can join up and come to trackday on July 12 and give the thing a proper trashing.....H OK, I will go there this Sunday and sign up for the trackday. Cannot wait to trash Bimmie!
snowflake Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Snowflake,That is one very good idea!!!! Works out 50 Baht a wash! The only thing is that I need to give him the key of my car as a hose is there, but at the outside parking......... How to deal with that? Well there are two ways of doing it... One, give him a spare key of your car (good luck, doubt he will steal it or do anything bad). Two, let him use a bucket of water and a sponge to clean it... I bet he doesnt mind... I am not sure I would let him do the inside, just let him do the outside and that can be done anywhere you park in the carpark... The water will dissappear in the morning, before anyone goes to work.... That is what the security guard did when I used to live in Bangkok (My neighbours car)... Ask him and see what he will say... I am sure he will say yes.. Or you could ask your thai neighbours how they get their cars clean every day...
MaiChai Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 You should get some house servants to do this for you? Thats what rich Thais do. You don't want to be wasting valuable time cleaning your car? Like most foreigners I have had alot of cars over the years; basically something that gets you from A to B. Can't get too excited about cars or keeping them clean; it seems a futile effort to clean them well when they will just get dirty again (esp in Bangkok with all that black soot that gets everywhere). Having a pickup was a novelty for a while, but even that isn't interesting anymore. Talking about Volvo's (the really old ones); one almost crashed into me yesterday as the driver decided to have a race with a Jazz and they seemed to think the road was just for their use. Recon this Volvo didn't have an original engine
Thanh-BKK Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Hi I could not complain about the power of my Volvo with it's original engine....... for a Jazz it's enough anyway Unfortunately the fuel economy is more like 4-5 Jazz's Volvo's aren't that weak....... Best regards..... Thanh
