Two People Injured In Hit And Run Motorbike Accident.

Featured Replies

At around 11 o’clock on Friday night police from Pattaya Soi 9 station and Sawang Boriboon rescue volunteers were called to the scene of an accident on Naklua road that resulted in injuries to two people.

According to witnesses a 25-year-old Thai lady was walking across Naklua Road, near Soi 33, when she was struck by a motorbike taxi driver.

On the back of the motorbike taxi was a Korean passenger, aged about 40.

When the taxi driver hit the female pedestrian the passenger was dislodged and injured his back and shoulder.

The taxi driver quickly remounted his machine and, in the time-honoured tradition of accidents in Thailand, he fled the scene.

The injured woman was taken to Banglamung hospital for treatment while the Korean man was brought to the casualty section of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

Police are yet to interview the Korean man because they can’t find anyone who speaks his language to interpret for them. Police are confident of being able to track down the offending motorbike taxi driver.

A classic Patters take down. 2 for the price of 1 and then flee the scene. No-one leaves the place unscathed, if they ever leave at all. :o
