Does anybody know if big bikes are available for rent in Bangkok?

I am looking for a mid size bike, my preference would be not to have to rent a chopper. If anybody knows of a bike shop which rents in Bkk, or anybody has a bike to rent perhaps, for a couple of weeks in July, would appreciate a heads up.

Cheers.

There seems not much of a choice in BKK for mid size bikes. I've been trying hard to find bikes > 600 cc for sale and it took me a couple of months to find a bike that would fit (now it's finally 1000 cc...). Never came across a place with rental bikes.

There are more places in the touristy areas like Pattaya or Chiangmai. Was in Chiangmai myself last month and got a CB 400 for rent.

You can checkout the shops in Chiangmai; they might have some connections to find out if there is anyhting available in BKK

good luck!

If I recall correctly, the place was called Tony's suberbikes. Didn't keep the phone number, but you should be able to google it or find it in a.m. link.

Doi Inthanon is wonderful for biking, but you might want to consider to get a bike with a some more torque than the CB 400...

Have a safe ride.

Hi Guys,

I'm Tony's partner in "Tony's Big Bikes" here in Chiang Mai. We have a decent selection of bikes so if you are not already here and rented something, pop into the shop for a chat and we'll try and help you find the best bike for your trip. We are at 17 Ratchmanka Rd which is in the old city just off Moon Muang, south of Tha Pae Gate. You can also call the shop on 053-207124

Cheers,

Pikey.

Hi Andy,

No probs to provide details and yep, the road opposite Loi Kroh and we're about 50 yards in on your left from the moat. It's still my "shift" on the 5th so look forward to meeting you. Doi Inthanon on a NSR150 was fun I'd bet :o
