Chaweng regent charge $130 for a deluxe room with breakfast on the web (plus 10% service charge and 7% tax).

There is an offer in November of $90 plus about $22 for breakfast plus 10% and 7% tax etc. This works out about 5000 BHT for two people.

Anyone know whether it is possible to negotiate when you turn up at the door? Is 4000 BHT possible. If not, I expect I'll stay in one of the many other decent hotels in Chaweng.

I am staying somewhere else for a few days and may want to move there for about 10 nights?

Normally the only way to get a cheap "rack" rate is through an agent. Try this route first.
