Local Wood Varieties . .

I am a semi retired bagpipe maker staying near Chiang Mai when not in Scotland. I am interested in dark, dense, hardwoods, i.e. around or above 1.0 SG if poss. This thread has been fascinating reading thanks obviously to Technocracy in particular. One question at this point is I could not find the local name for Dalbergia Cultrata. Also Ceylon Ebony (Diospyros ebenum), and Burma Padauk (Pterocarpus macrocarpas), am I likely to be able to find these? What are their local names (Apologies if I missed them in the posts) - any help appreciated.
