Epileptic Fit thought to have caused man to drown in village pond.

On Tuesday Evening, Police Lieutenant Prasit from Banglamung Police Station was called to a small pond at a village in Banglamung sub-district following reports of a man who had drowned at the location.

Rescue Workers joined Police and removed the body of Khun Paitoon aged 46 from the pond. Residents of the village told Police that the man suffered from Epilepsy and would often catch fish inside the lake.

Police think he suffered a fit while inside the pond but are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination before they close the case.

If someone was having an epileptic fit in the pond where I live, the neighbours would have probably come out and thrown their washing in.

My condolences to the friends and family.

I think there is a lesson to be learned here.
