My Thai wife and I are planning on visiting my family back in UK soon (for approx 1 month) and her cousin would like to come with us paying for her own ticket etc.

We lived in UK for many years before retiring back to my wifes home village so we have no connections left in UK other than a bank a/c c/o my parents address. Her cousin has never left Thailand before.

We will stay with my family and in a couple of hotels when we show her (the cousin) around the UK.

Has anyone any experience/ideas of the paperwork needed or probs we might encounter

Thanks

It will still come down to the requirements of the Immigration Rules, i.e.:

1. Can the person who's paying for the trip manifest his/her ability to do so;

2. Is there accommodation available for the visa applicant;

3. Can the visa applicant show that s/he intends to leave the UK at the end of the proposed stay?

Essentially, the cousin has to show that she and your wife are in close, continuous contact and that she has a reason to return to Thailand.

Scouse.
